Who Am I
Hi, I'm Janica Bicar!
I'm an SEO Specialist based in Davao City, Philippines.
My path into digital marketing wasn’t traditional. I started university in 2022 at the University of Southeastern Philippines, studying Industrial Technology majoring in Mechanical Technology. After four years of working with physical machinery, handling tools, and drafting 2D and 3D models in CAD software, I graduated in June 2026.
After graduation, I spent time looking for local mechanical jobs, but finding entry roles without years of experience or extra trade certifications was tough. I tried enrolling in a local TESDA Machining course here in Davao City to add more practical credentials, but they didn’t have budget approvals for new students yet.
During this transition time, my brother introduced me to digital marketing. To be honest, I didn’t even know what “SEO” was at first or why it mattered. Every time I searched for something on Google, I just assumed the results on the first page appeared randomly. I knew some businesses paid for ads to show up at the top, but I had no idea there was an entire organic process behind search rankings.
My direction completely changed when my brother sponsored my spot in a hands-on 4-week SEO/GEO Bootcamp hosted by Coach Leandro of PinoySEO in August 2026. The entire experience was highly practical. I didn’t just learn how to build my own website from scratch. I also learned how to audit site issues, find what needs fixing, and optimize pages so they rank higher. I was even fortunate enough to work directly on a live client site during our training. I genuinely enjoyed the whole process, especially exploring page elements and building out website structures step-by-step.
Starting with zero search background felt huge at first, but everything clicked the moment I realized websites operate just like physical machines. In mechanical work, you study how parts connect, fix bottlenecks, and adjust the layout so everything runs smoothly. SEO works the exact same way. It takes technical accuracy, logical setup, clear writing, and troubleshooting to keep search crawlers running through your pages properly.
Today, I take that practical, hands-on mindset and apply it directly to your website. My aim is to help you hit your business goals, attract the right target audience, and get your pages ranking where they belong.
How I Unwind
Whenever I’m not busy, you’ll usually find me watching videos or playing games.
One of my favorite ways to unwind is watching anime, a passion I’ve had since the 6th grade. My top series picks are Attack on Titan, Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill, and Laid-Back Camp. When it comes to films, I adore A Silent Voice and anything from Studio Ghibli.
When gaming, I love point-and-click puzzle adventures like those from Kiary Games Ltd. and Rusty Lake, cozy puzzle games like Assemble with Care, and story-rich visual novel games like Ace Attorney. I’m also a big fan of watching horror gameplays, diorama creations, 3D puzzle builds, and cooking tutorials.
Above all, my absolute favorite way to spend free time is bonding with our pets because it’s not just fun, it’s the ultimate stress reliever!
